“Lee and his mechanics are very proficient when it comes to diagnostics, they dont give you the run around saying it's this or that when they're working on the car no they get straight to the problem. I have been dealing with them on four different vehicles I own and never had to return it for same problem. My most recent repair was a timing chain replacement on a Navigator, the truck was making clunking noises when I brought it in, next day it was quite as a church house mouse, it has a nice purrrrrrr now.”

“I went for a smog check on a Monday (Veterans Day) in the early afternoon. I called ahead to make sure they were open and to get an estimate of the charges. I was quickly acknowledged when I walked in and they took care of me quickly. I was a little surprised at how friendly and efficiently this place is run. I will definitely return when my car needs servicing.”

I showed up last minute and he still made time to have not only my oil changed but to do a multipoint inspection to ensure my vehicle was sound to take my daughter to San Francisco for college. He is good to the rest of his team and goes out of his way to make sure you're taken care of. Hats off and a 5-Star Rating to Express Smog and Lube!”
“I've been coming here for oil changes since I started driving (about 20 yrs) and the service is always great. I've gone other places for whatever reason (dealership, Jiffy Lube) and every time, I have to ask myself why I didn't just go to Gene or Lee because the service is always 100% better.”

“Had to get my car smog tested. I live near by and see the sign all the time. Came at 8 AM and they took it in right away. I was in and out with in 10 minutes. They sent the certification in electronically and gave me a receipt just in case the DMV says they never receive it.

“My brakes were squeaking so I took my Jeep in and they checked it out and told me there was still pad and I can go another 5000m. Last time they were doing an oil change and released a stuck seatbelt and both times no charge. They have done work for me and are always fair and honest. I will bring my vehicle back here for any service I need.

“I found express smog and lube after dealing with a Jiffy Lube ripping off my 16 year old. They had charged him $160 and said he needed things done when he went in for an oil change. It was a nightmare, but something good came out of it. I found Lee and his guys at Express Smog & Lube! They don't work on commission and are always helpful and they actually care!
I take my Buick Enclave (don't get one) & my son's old Acura. Let's just say they are both terrible cars with multiple problems. Lee and his team always give me advice and help me out. They always go above and beyond for us. Once they even took my son's car to Acura b/c they couldn't find the problem and they wanted to make sure I wasn't over charged there! Who does that????
It's hard going into mechanic shops as a woman or as a teenager. These are the ONLY guys I trust. I go in feeling like they are taking care of me and not worried about how they are going to 'find' all kinds of things I need fixed!
If you are looking for honest people and great work, I would HIGHLY recommend going here. You can eat at the Hat next door while you wait.”
“The owner, Lee is really a great guy to deal with to get your car serviced...very honest and knowledgeable, and the services are priced right. I average about 2,700 miles of driving a month and its a great feeling to have someone like Lee take care of my vehicle and not have to worry about my Toyota 4 Runner breaking down. This shop will take care of all your preventive maintenance needs. HIGHLY Recommend this shop!!”

“I take my car here all the time, for everything! I love it! Most other places just want to jack up the price on everything and give you the run around, but at this place they always know what they are doing and they do it for a fair price. The first time I went there was for a smog check and I chose them because they had the best price. Since then Ive taken my car there for oil changes, an engine mount, shocks, radiator, water pump etc.
A really good mechanic is hard to find and that is why this is the only place I want to take my car to.”
